Who We Are

Our mission is to practice and educate individuals safely in the field of blacksmithing and metalworking. Members are accepted regardless of blacksmithing or metal-working experience. Aggie Blacksmithing hosts workshops and provides space and resources for students to practice working with metal, as well as ample opportunities to network within the blacksmithing community and attend numerous blacksmithing-related events.

Time Commitment

Participation in at least 4 events per semester are required from members, instructional meetings generally run for 3 hours every other week.

Leadership

Joining the Aggie Blacksmithing Club leadership team will allow you to become more involved in the organization. Leaders have the opportunity to manage large groups of people, work with talented individuals in the blacksmithing community, and to learn how to instruct others in the craft. There are multiple leadership positions, including officers who are in charge of the planning and organization of events, merchandise, social media and PR, and member recruitment. Each position in the leadership team aims to introduce members to the art of blacksmithing.
